HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Saturday’s 13-race program at Gulfstream Park will feature eight-stakes, including the $400,000 Fountain of Youth (G2), as well as a life-changing $1,890,317.68 Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot.

The 70th running of the Fountain of Youth, a key prep for the $1 million Florida Derby (G1; April 2) and the Triple Crown carded as Race 12, is included in Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence (Races 8-13).

Godolphin Racing’s Mohaymen tops a field of six 3-year-olds in the 1 1/8-mile stakes, in which the Kiaran McLaughlin-trained colt is slated to seek his fifth consecutive victory. The son of Tapit, who captured the $350,000 Holy Bull (G2) at Gulfstream Jan. 30, is scheduled to face Mucho Macho Man winner Awesome Speed, unbeaten Hutcheson (G3) and Swale (G2) victor Awesome Banner and his stablemate Fellowship, as well as undefeated Zulu and Golden Ray.

A total of $403,627 was wagered Friday on the Rainbow 6, which spanned Races 6-11. Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $409.10.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since last being hit for $76,799.38 by one lucky bettor on Jan. 13, the popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for 33 consecutive programs. The largest payout of the current Championship Meet was $262,634.84 on Jan. 7.

In Saturday’s first race there will be a $5,034.12 carryover for the Super Hi-5.

Guaranteed Pools in Late Pick 4, Late Pick 5 on Saturday

Gulfstream Park will offer guaranteed pools in both the Late Pick 4 and Late Pick 5 on Saturday’s Fountain of Youth program.

The Late Pick 4 covering races 10-13 will have a guaranteed pool of $200,000 and includes the $150,000 Palm Beach (G3) in Race 11 and Fountain of Youth in Race 12. The Late Pick 5 on Races 9-13 will be guaranteed at $100,000, kicked off by the $100,000 Sand Springs.

Also on Saturday’s program are the $75,000 Texas Glitter in Race 1, $100,000 Gulfstream Park Sprint (G3) in Race 4, $200,000 Fasig-Tipton Davona Dale (G2) in Race 5, $150,000 Herecomesthebride (G3) in Race 6 and $150,000 Canadian Turf (G3) in Race 8.

First race post time is noon.

Who’s Hot: Jockey Javier Castellano rode three winners on Friday’s card, including the Todd Pletcher-trained Pinstripe ($5.40) in the featured optional claiming allowance in the 10th race. The four-time defending Championship Meet titlist also scored aboard Johns Kitten ($7.60) in the second and Behzad’s Pride ($4.60) in the ninth.

Hall of Famer John Velazquez doubled aboard Lazarus Project ($3.60) in the fourth and Animal Instinct ($5) in the seventh.
