Rideau Carleton Raceway
Rideau Carleton Raceway is a Canadian horse racing and gambling complex located in Ottawa, Ontario. The facility began operation in 1962 and specialises in standardbred harness racing with one of Canada's fastest 5/8 mile harness racing tracks.
In 2000, the venue introduced slot machines, under the authority of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, which were expected to draw annual revenue of $13 million. The site includes a restaurant and hosts musical performances.
The Ottawa Swans, of the Ontario Australian Football League, have played their home games in the center of the track since 2008.

Rideau Carleton Raceway, located in Ottawa, has been operating since 1962. Starting in 1886, Horse Racing is Canada's oldest form of legal gaming. Today it has evolved and is flourishing in Ontario as an exciting crowd-pleasing sports spectacle.

Rideau Carleton Raceway and Slots hosts live racing every Thursday and Sunday. Post time is at 6:30pm. Rideau Carleton Raceway also offers seasonal live standardbred harness horse racing and year-round Teletheatre wagering on simulcast racing from tracks across Canada, United States, Hong Kong and Australia.
Rideau Carleton Raceway and Slots hosts two significant stake races each year, these are the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot and the Des Smith Classic Pace. Both of these stake races average a purse size of $200,000 and attract higher caliber horses.
Rideau Carleton Raceway and Slots is also home to over 1250 exciting slot games to play ranging from 1 cent to $5, including favourites such as Blazing 7's; Ten Times Pay; Wheel of Fortune; Black Jack and Poker. The casino is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and also has electronic tables; Black Jack, Baccarat and Roulette.
