By the Moon Wins Vagrancy Handicap at Belmont Park
The $200,000 G3 Vagrancy Handicap took place Friday, May 5 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. Fillies and mares four years old and upward dashed 6 1/2 furlongs on Belmont Park's dirt track. Jay Em Ess Stable's 2-1 race favorite By the Moon finally got over the hump after a series of close calls and prevailed by 1 3/4 lengths. Pretty N Cool, who was also sent off at 2-1 odds wound up second in the field of eight while 5-2 third choice Quezon came in third. Carrumba was fourth while Fusaichi Red, Anydayismyday, Kalabaka, and Wheatfield completed the order of finish.
