Able Tasman Wins Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs

The $1 million G1 Longines Kentucky Oaks was run Friday, May 5 at Churchill Downs in Lexington, Kentucky. Some of the best three year old fillies around took to Churchill Downs Dirt track and raced 1 1/8 miles. It was Able Tasman that prevailed by 1 1/4 lengths at 9-1 odds thanks to a furious outside rally in the stretch. 12-1 shot Daddys Lil Darling rallied from 11th to claim second in the field of 14 with another longshot Lockdown getting in for third at 36-1 odds. Vexatious was fourth while Salty, Sailor's Valentine, Tequilita, 6-1 third betting choice Miss Sky Warrior, Ever So Clever, Mopotism, 6-5 favorite Paradise Woods, Jordan's Henny, Wicked Lick, and 9-2 second choice Farrell completed the order of finish.
