Las Vegas, NV - The $150,000 Grade 3 Hutcheson Stakes was contested at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Saturday, January 24. 7-10 favorite Barbados in the seven furlong test became a graded stakes winner in the field of just six - by a half length over second choice X Y Jet. Big Family, the longest shot on the board at 44-1 got up to be a distant third over Richard the Great and Bridget's Big Luvy, while Dom the Bomb was eased. Both Bluegrass Singer and Stanford were early scratches; Bluegrass Singer opted to run in the Holy Bull Stakes later on the card.
