Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Hutcheson Stakes is on tap for Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Saturday, January 24. Three year olds will be after the winner's share of the $150,000 purse when they line up and go seven furlongs on Gulfstream's dirt track.

A field of eight three year olds have been confirmed for the Hutcheson Stakes - race 7 on Gulfstream's stacked Saturday card. Post time is 3:30 PM. Let's take a peek into the past performances of all eight combatants for this Grade 3 stakes.

2015 Hutcheson Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Barbados - Michael Tomlinson trainee enters on a two race win streak - the minor $100,000 Spectacular Bid Stakes by three lengths last time out on this track January 3 and a maiden score by an impressive five lengths at Keeneland in October. His other two career results were a fifth and a second respectively in a pair of MSW races at Kentucky Downs. Luis Saez has been tabbed with keeping the win streak going from post 7.

Bluegrass Singer - Marcus Vitali trained gelding has placed in six of seven career starts - three wins, a second and two third place finishes. He enters on a tidy two race win streak - the minor Mucho Macho Man Stakes January 3 and an Allowance Optional Claiming December 17 - both wins coming on this track. Before that was a third in the minor Buffalo Man Stakes in November and a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming in October. Bluegrass Singer makes his graded stakes in good form. Rafael Hernandez has the mount from the outside post. He is also entered in the Grade 2 Holy Bull later on the card.

Richard the Great - will race in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday off a sixth as favorite after a bad trip in the minor Buffalo Man Stakes at Gulfstream, Park West November 29 and two wins to start his career - an Allowance Optional Claiming by an impressive 6 3/4 lengths in September and a maiden score at first asking in August - both wins on this track. He hopes to keep his Gulfstream streak alive Saturday with Joel Rosario in the reins from gate 4.

Dom the Bomb - Larry Rivelli trained colt has won three of his four career starts - two straight minor stakes scores ahead of this weekend. Last time out was a win in the Jim Edgar Illinois Futurity at Hawthorne December 13 and before that his win came in the Sun Power Stakes on that same track November 22. Dom the Bomb makes his graded stakes debut in good form - with Javier Castellano guiding him from post 3. He is also entered in the Grade 2 Holy Bull Stakes later on the card.

Stanford - will race for just the third time for trainer Todd Pletcher. He is coming off a sixth in his stakes debut - the Grade 2 Saratoga Special August 10 which followed a maiden score at first asking at Monmouth Park in June. She lines up from the rail Saturday with John Velazquez aboard.

Big Family - has two career starts with one win - a maiden score at first asking - at Gulfstream park West November 19. Last time out was a rather disappointing step into stakes company - a seventh in the minor Spectacular Bid Stakes on this track January 3. Big Family hopes for better in his graded stakes debut - from post 5 with Edgar Prado in the saddle.

Bridget's Big Luvy - will race in stakes company for the first time Saturday for trainer Jeremiah Englehart after three MSW races produced one win - that coming last time out at Belmont Park October 24. Before that was a fifth and a fourth to kick off his career. He looks for a second straight win in his step up - from post 2 with Jose Ortiz in the saddle.

X Y Jet - Jorge Navarro trained gelding has seven career starts already with a win, four seconds and a third place finish. He enters off an OK second in the minor Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay December 27, a fourth in the minor Buffalo Man Stakes and a maiden score at Gulfstream Park West - in his fifth career start. He hasn't been worse than fourth yet and hopes to be competitive again from post 6. Edgard Zayas rides.
