Mohaymen Wins Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park
Las Vegas, NV -The $350,000 Grade 2 Lambholm South Holy Bull Stakes went down at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Saturday, January 31 - a 1 1/16 mile dirt test for some of the best three year olds in the land. Kiaran McLauglin trained overwhelming 1-5 favorite Mohaymen made it a perfect 4-for-4 in his career and cemented himself as a serious contender for the Kentucky Derby in May, winning by a relatively easy 3 1/2 lengths. Mohaymen earned 10 more qualifying points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby with the win which puts him second in the race behind 2015 champion 2-year-old colt Nyquist. 7-2 second choice Greenpointcrusader held second, while 40-1 longshot Fellowship closed to get third. Conquest Big E, Frontier Ranger, and Perfect Saint completed the order of finish.
