Lady Sabelia Wins Barbara Fritchie Handicap at Laurel Park
Las Vegas, NV - Laurel Park in the great state of Maryland hosted the $300,000 Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap this past Saturday, February 14 - a seven furlong test for older females. Co- 5-2 second choice Lady Sabelia provided the gate-to-wire win her graded stakes debut by 1 1/2 lengths for her fourth straight win. The other 5-2 pick Princess Violet finished second with Expression getting up for third. 2-1 favorite Sam's Sister finished a disappointing fourth in the field of 10 while Before You Know It was fifth followed by Stormy Novel, Flattering Bea, Toasting, Disco Barbie, and Best Behavior. Miss Mischief was scratched.
