Lord Nelson Wins Triple Bend Stakes at Santa Anita Park

The $300,000 Grade 1 Triple Bend Stakes was contested Saturday, June 25 from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California - a seven furlong race for horses three years old and upward. Spendthrift Farm's 2-1 second choice Lord Nelson posted the victory in the field of eight by a half-length over frontrunner and 5-2 third choice Subtle Indian. Kobe's Back, favored at 9-5 made a bid but petered out to finish third while Home Run Kitten, Clever Royal, Ambitious Brew, Cautious Giant, and Coastline completed the order of finish.
