Archaggelos Wins Grey Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

The $125,000 G3 Grey Stakes went down Sunday, October 1 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. Two-year olds took to Woodbine's All Weather Track and went 1 1/16 miles. Monticule's homebred colt and 9-1 outsider Archaggelos made quite a statement and posted the upset 2 1/4 length win in his stakes debut. 1-2 favorite Peppered finished an OK second in the field of seven while 42-1 longshot Tale of Vienna came on for third. 3-1 second choice Piven checked in fourth with Colin Stakes champion Like What I See fifth and Lookin to Strike and Leopold completing the order of finish.
