Kevin Attard trained colt has a win and a second-place finish in his two career starts. He steps into graded stakes company for the first time Sunday off an OK second behind Like What I See in the listed Colin Stakes on this track September 2 after a maiden score at first asking - on this track August 13. Piven has been competitive so far and tries to be again from gate 2 with Eurico Rosa Da Silva in the irons of the second betting choice.
