Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario was the scene of the $175,000 G2 King Edward Stakes on Sunday, July 2 - a one mile turf test for horses three years old and upward. Gustav Schickedanz's homebred Go Bro shocked the field, emerging by just a head at 44-1 odds. Grade 1 winner Hootenanny finished second at 8-1 odds with 6-5 favorite Tower of Texas getting in for third. Unbridled Juan finished fourth in the field of nine while Hollywood Hideaway, Dragon Bay, Ikerrin Road, Shakhimat and 5-1 second choice Monster Bea completed the order of finish.
