Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach Florida will be the scene of the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector Stakes this Saturday, December 29. Horses three years old and upward will be featured as they dash six furlongs on Gulfstream's dirt track in search of their share of the $100,000 purse.

A small but quality field of six has been confirmed for this year's Mr. Prospector. It is race 5 on Gulfstream's Saturday card with a post time of 2:37 PM. Here is a look at the past performances of all six combatants ahead of this Grade 3 race.

2012 Mr. Prospector Stakes Race Favorites

Action Andy - comes into the Mr. Prospector on a nice three race win streak including the Pelican Stakes by 2 1/4 lengths last time out December 8 at Tampa Bay over Indiano who is also in this race. Before the Pelican was a win in the Frank J De Francis at Laurel Park and a win in the Maryland Millions Sprint Handicap before that - it's safe to say that Action Andy is in some pretty good form. He has won seven times in 11 starts this year with a second and a third. He is the horse to beat.

Indiano - comes off a second most recently to Action Andy in the Pelican Stakes but has been in the money eight straight times. - 4 wins, two seconds and two thirds. Indiano has been in with some tough horses - he finished second in the Grade 2 Smile Sprint Handicap three back and was third in the last year's Mr. Prospector. He has only three starts this year with a win and two seconds but has to get over the Action Andy hump in this one.

Bull Dozer - is an interesting name to watch in the Mr. Prospector. He won last time out on this track at this distance December 7 by two lengths. He has won five of his last six races - none of the stakes variety but could surprise Saturday.

Partyallnightlong - has just one start this year - a win at the Dan Horn Stakes at Keeneland May 5. Before that you had to look back to July 31, 2011 to see when she last raced - a fifth in the Teddy Drones Stakes. When she races Partyallnightlong is good - that's when she races!

Off the Jak - has raced 11 times in 2012 with two wins, five seconds and a third place finish. Last time out was an OK second to Bernie the Maestro in the Starter Stakes here December 1. Before that was a disappointing eighth in the Jack Dudley after two Allowance Optional Claiming scores at Calder. He is just another dark horse in this race.

Dreaming of Neno - has only three career starts - two wins against lesser competition and a seventh in a race that Politicallycorrect won. Dreaming of Neno is an interesting long shot in the Mr. Prospector nonetheless.
