Swale Stakes at Gulfstream Park

Dave Bond

Las Vegas, NV -- The 13th running of the Grade 3 Swale Stakes comes our way from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida this Saturday, March 10th. The race is open to three year olds with some serious intentions. The Swale will cover seven furlongs for a $150,000 purse.

A field of 10 three year olds will run in the Swale Stakes with no real clear cut favorite stealing the headlines. The curious omission of Thunder Moccasin has made this race wide open in the seven furlong sprint. Despite the lack of a true marquee name, the Swale is graced by a number of graded stakes winners looking to tune up for the Florida Derby on March 31st and hopefully the Kentucky Derby in May. The Swale Stakes is the 10th race on Gulfstream's Saturday schedule with a post time of 5:35 PM ET.

Swale Stakes Race Favorites
