The Marjorie L. Everett has attracted a field of seven older females to go in race 10 on Hollywood Park's Saturday card. Post time is 4:11 PM. Let's take a brief glance into the past performances of all seven combatants for this Grade 3 stakes.
Lady of Fifty - Jerry Hollendorfer filly has six wins and four third place finishes in 13 career starts and is coming off an OK third in the Grade 2 Santa Maria Stakes January 16 after a disappointing fourth as favorite in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes January 20, a relatively easy win in the competitive Grade 2 Bayakoa at Hollywood Park by 3 1/4 lengths December 8 and a win in the minor Palm Springs Handicap at Santa Anita November 1. She looked great in the winter and will be looking for that form again Saturday.
Sister Kate - another Jerry Hollendorfer trainee makes her first graded stakes start but enters on a two race win streak. She has five wins, two seconds and four third place finishes in 14 career starts but steps up big time on Saturday. She was third behind Warren's Jitterbug and Going for a Spin in the 2012 B. Thoughtful Stakes in her only previous start at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Lady Aspen - Jerry Hollendorfer trained mare had two Allowance Optional Claiming scores at Golden Gate to start her 2013 campaign and followed that with a fourth in an Allowance and a decent second last time out in the minor Golden Poppy Stakes at Golden Gate April 7. Saturday marks her graded stakes debut after 20 career starts yielded five wins, four seconds and three third place finishes.
I Dazzle - John Sadler pupil started 2013 with a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita and has rattled off two straight wins ahead of the Marjorie L. Everett - an Allowance February 23 and the minor American Beauty Stakes April 7 in her turf debut. Her graded stakes results include a fourth in the Grade 2 Goldikova in November and a fifth in the Grade 3 Robert J Frankel Stakes in December. She had been just OK in the past but two wins ahead of this weekend has opened a few eyes. I Dazzle will be making her synthetic debut Saturday.
