Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California will be tuning up for the Breeders' Cup when it hosts the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes this Saturday, October 26. A purse of $100,000 will be on the line for three year old fillies willing to race one mile on Santa Anita's turf track. The Autumn Miss has attracted a full field of 11 plus two Also Eligibles for race 8 on Santa Anita's Saturday card. Post time is 4:30 PM. Wishing Gate - Thomas Proctor trained filly has three wins and three seconds in nine career starts and has looked good recently - a second last time out in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks followed a win in her stakes debut in the Grade 2 San Clemente at 5-1 odds at Del Mar July 21. She also had a win in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Arlington Park June 23 after a second in an Allowance in May. Other notable career results include a second in the minor Surfer Girl Stakes at Santa Anita in October after an eighth in the Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf in September. She has two wins and two seconds in her last four starts overall, has three wins and a second at one mile on grass and enters in very good form. Legendary Gary Stevens will in the saddle on the 122 pound highweight as the likely favorite Saturday.

Need You Now - Irish bred filly had two wins in four starts in Ireland before shipping to North America where she finished fifth in her debut here in the minor Runway Stakes at Santa Anita April 13. She went on to a fourth in the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes May 11 and had a nice win in the minor Le Cle Stakes at Hollywood Park July 7. Last time out was a sixth after setting the pace in the competitive Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks August 17. Julien Leparoux who seems to get the best of this filly will get the mount once again Saturday.

Autumn Miss Stakes 2013 | Remaining Contenders

Flashy Ways - was fourth the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes last time out way back in April to follow a fourth in the competitive China Doll Stakes in her only other start this year for trainer Richard Baltas. In 2012 results included a good third in the Grade 3 Miesque Stakes at Hollywood Park November 24 and a distant eleventh in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. She has two wins and a third place finish in five career starts and she beat Wishing Gate in last year's Surfer Girl Stakes. She races for the first time in over six month Saturday looking to break a streak of fourth place finishes.

Charlie Em - British bred filly made her North American debut with a terrific win in the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes May 11 after eight starts at home produced three wins, a second and a third place finish. Last time out was an OK third behind Beholder in the minor Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar September 1 after a seventh in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks in August and a fourth in the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap here July 21. She will be looking for her first win since May and enters in so-so form.

Heir Kitty - Peter Miller trained filly has yet to record a win in six starts this year. Last time out was a seventh in the minor Unzip Me Stakes here September 28 after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Del Mar September 21 and six months away. She started her year with a very good second in the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes behind Fiftyshadesofhay here January 26 before a close third in the minor Sweet Life Stakes on this track February 16 and a fourth in the Grade 1 Las Virgenes in March.

Miss Empire - This Peter Miller trained filly has 12 career starts with two wins, a second and three third place finishes and makes her fourth start of the year Saturday after an eighth in the Grade 2 San Clemente in July, a second in the minor Sandy Blue Handicap in August and a fifth in the minor Swingtime Stakes last time out here October 5. She won the Cinderella Stakes last June 16 by over four lengths, finish third in the Landaluce Stakes on July 14 and was a respectable third in the Grade 2 Best Pal behind Miss Heir Kitty. She also won the minor Pike Place Dancer Stakes at Golden Gate October 29 of last year. She was OK at times last year but is lightly raced this year with less-than-flattering results.

Oscar Party - won the 2012 Kentucky Downs Juvenile Fillies Turf and then raced to a fourteenth in last year's Breeders' Cup Fillies Turf and followed that with an Allowance score in May. He followed that with a respectable third in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs May 15 and followed that with a fifth in the minor Sandy Blue Handicap at Del Mar August 18. Last time out was another quality result - a second in the Grade 2 Indiana Oaks October 5.

Wittgenstein - Irish bred Doug O'Neill trained filly had an Allowance score over Sweet Red Cat at Santa Anita March 21 but hasn't been great since - a ninth in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes in April was followed by a seventh in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Handicap June 8 and an eighth in the Grade 1 American Oaks in July. Last time out was a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming here October 13 after an OK second in the minor Torrey Pines Stakes on this track September1.

Include the Aussie - Tom Proctor trained filly races in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday. She is coming off a disappointing eighth in her stakes debut - the minor Unzip Me Stakes here September 28 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score in August. She has two wins, two seconds and three third place finishes in 10 career starts.

Journey On - Doug O'Neill trained filly has just four career starts but enters on a three race win streak - an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out here October 13, a Starter Allowance in August and a Maiden Claiming before that. She makes her stakes debut Saturday but looks good ahead of this weekend.

Caraquista - has 12 career starts with two wins and two second place finishes but hasn't placed in five starts this year. She is coming off a fourth in the minor Swingtime Stakes here October 5 after an eighth and a ninth in minor stakes action and a ninth in the Grade 3 Florida Oaks in February. She last tasted victory in December - an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream but she certainly hasn't been the same since.

Ighraa - Also Eligible Entry has 15 career starts with two wins and four third place finishes. She has just one start in North America -a tenth in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks after two wins in her last five starts in her native France.

Becky Lou - Also Eligible Entry is coming off a fourth in the minor Torrey Pines Stakes September 1 after a fifth in the Grade 1 American Oaks in July and a fourth in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Handicap. She has two wins and a third place finish in nine career starts.
