Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes is on tap for this Saturday, October 25 from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. A purse of $100,000 will be on the line for three year old fillies willing to go one mile on Santa Anita's turf track.
The Autumn Miss has attracted a full field of 10 plus four alternate entries to go in race 8 on Santa Anita's Saturday schedule. Post time is 4:30 PM. Let's take a peek into the past performances of all 14 possible entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Lexie Lou - four time stakes winner enters off a very disappointing tenth as 3-2 choice in the Grade 2 Canadian Derby (her graded stakes debut) after a terrific three race win streak - the minor Wonder Where Stakes August 10, the prestigious Queen's Plate July 6 against the boys and a terrific 4 1/2 length win in the Woodbine Oaks June 15 for trainer Mark Casse. She now has six wins, two seconds and two third place finishes in 14 career starts and looked unbeatable before her ugly effort last time out. Lexie Lou should be prime for a bounce back Saturday when she leaves from gate 5 with Corey Nakatani in the saddle.
Diversy Harbor - Tom Proctor trained filly has seven career starts with two wins, two seconds and a third place finish. She has failed to place in her last two however - last time out was a sixth in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks which followed a fourth as favorite in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes here July 19. Before that was a good second in the Grade 1 American Oaks May 31 at Santa Anita, a third in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Stakes May 4 and a second in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes April 5. She started her career with two wins including the minor one mile China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita March 8. Diversy Harbor has been competitive ever time out and like a few in the field will be looking to avenge a poor outing. She looks for her first graded stakes score with Mike Smith in the reins from gate 6.
Alexis Tangier - Richard Mandella trained filly makes her graded stakes debut Saturday after six career starts yielded three wins and a second place finish. She enters on a two race win streak - the 6 1/2 furlong minor Unzip Me Stakes last time out on this track September 27 and an Allowance at this distance at Del Mar August 20. She has won three of her last four starts overall and looks more than ready for her step up in competition. Victor Espinoza has the mount from post 7.
Sheza Smoke Show - Peter Eurton trained filly won the one mile Grade 3 Senorita Stakes at Santa Anita June 28 at 10-1 odds but hasn't been great since - a twelfth in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes in July at Del Mar was followed by a fourth last time out in the minor Sandy Blue Stakes on that same track in August. She has three wins and a third place finish in eight career starts and will be looking to get back to her Senorita form after two ugly outings. Martin Garcia will be in charge of the 122 pound top weight from post 3 as Sheza Smoke Show tries for her fourth win on this track.
Thegirlinthatsong - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly has nine starts this year with two wins, a second and three third place finishes and has looked good in her last two stakes starts. Last time out was a second in the minor Remington Park Oaks September 28 which followed a good third in the Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar August 31. She has placed in six of her last seven starts and should be competitive again Saturday. Rafael Bejarano gets the call from the rail.

Not a whole lot is expected Saturday when she departs from post 9 with Perry Wayne Ouzts in the reins.
On the Backstreets - Peter Miller pupil has won three of six starts and four of nine career starts. Her biggest wins to date have come on this track - in the minor Sweet Life Stakes in February and the minor Ultrafleet Stakes in May. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score June 1 at Golden Gate and consecutive thirds in minor stakes action - the China Doll Stakes in March and the California Oaks in February. She has been trending upward the last couple of races and could be a factor from gate 10 with Tyler Baze in the irons.

She finished seventh in her only stakes action - the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes here in June but has reeled off consecutive wins since - a maiden score in July and an Allowance score last time out at Del Mar August 24. Alex Solis may get the mount from post 11 - if she races.
Kool Kat - Alternate Entry may race in graded stakes company for the first time. She had two consecutive wins this summer but hasn't been great in two stakes starts since - a sixth in the minor Sandy Blue Stakes August 15 was followed by a fourth last time out in the minor Unzip Me Stakes here September 27. If the race is moves Kool Kat will have Corey Nakatani aboard from post 12.
Gender Agenda - Alternate Entry - British bred Carla Gaines trainee has a win and a second in two starts this year - two wins, two seconds and two thirds in nine career starts. She debuted in North America two back and won an Allowance at Del Mar and went on to a good second last time out in the minor Unzip Me Stakes here September 27.
