Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Dania Beach Stakes comes our way from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Saturday January 3. Horses three years old will be featured as they go 7 1/2 furlongs on Gulfstream's turf track searching for the winner's portion of the $100,000 purse.

Javier Castellano will be in charge of keeping the roll going in Crown the Kitten's graded stakes debut - from the outside post.

Wayward Kitten - another highly regarded Wesley Ward trained gelding has a win and two second place finishes in three career starts. He makes his stakes debut Saturday off a second in an Allowance at Churchill Downs and a maiden score on that same track September 19. Rafael Manuel Hernandez has been tabbed to ride from post 5 in Wayward Kitten's first race as a gelding.

Dania Beach Stakes 2015 | Remaining Contenders

Croninthebarbarian - Garry Simms pupil has five career starts with two wins, a second and a third place finish. He won the minor Kentucky Downs Juvenile in September and went on to a sixth in the Grade 3 Dixiana Bourbon Stakes at Keeneland October 5. Last time out was an OK second in the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 29. Leandro Goncalves gets the call from gate 8 Saturday.

Smokem Kitten - Michael Maker trained colt will race for just the second time Saturday but is coming off a good maiden score by an impressive 5 1/2 lengths despite leaving from an unattractive post 14 on this track December 6. He will look to keep the momentum going with Edgar Prado in the reins from post 6.

Night Prowler - will race for the fourth time for trainer Chad Brown off an OK third in the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 29 and a maiden score at Belmont Park October 17. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday looking to place in his fourth straight race. Javier Castellano has the mount from post 9.

Stormy Wayllen - Wayne Catalano trained colt has three career starts with two wins and a second place finish. He enters odd an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Arlington September 28 after a second in a similar race September 5 at Churchill Downs and a maiden score at first asking - at Arlington in July. Channing Hill rides from post 2.

A Lot - legendary trainer Bill Mott will send out A Lot who has three career starts with one win - that coming two back in a MSW at Belmont Park September 28. Last time out was an OK fourth in his stakes debut - the minor Awad Stakes at Belmont Park October 26. He looks for his first stakes score Saturday from gate 4 with John Velazquez aboard.

Mostly Mozart - has two starts for trainer Richard Scherer with a win - that coming last time out in a Maiden Claiming at Arlington September 20. He hit the track for the first time in 3 1/2 months in his stakes debut with Ramsey Zimmerman aboard from the rail.

Kutuzov - has 13 career starts already for trainer Gennadi Dorochenko with just one win and two second place finishes. He broke maiden on this track in August but has failed to place in his last six starts. His only graded stakes action came August 28 - an eighth in the Grade 2 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga and he is coming off an ugly tenth in the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 29. He looks for his first on-the-board finish in five months when he leaves from post 3 with Oriel Chavez in the saddle.

Valuetempo - Randy Persaud trainee has 11 career starts with just one win and a third place finish. His only win came in September - a Maiden Claiming score at Monmouth Park and he has placed in just one of five starts since - a third in a Starter Optional Claiming here December 12. His only stakes action came November 8 - an eleventh place finish in the minor Juvenile Turf Stakes at Gulfstream Park West. Not a whole lot is expected when Valuetempo departs from post 7 with Leroy Nelson in the irons.
