Daredevil - Todd Pletcher trained grade 1 winner was one of the favorites for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile and a serious Triple Crown contender but stumbled to a last of 11 finish in the Breeders' Cup. His other two career starts were wins - an impressive debut - a 6 1/2 length maiden score at Belmont Park September 13 and a nice 2 1/2 length win over Upstart in the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park October 4 with a field best 104 Beyer Speed Figure. He will be looking for a strong bounce back to prove that his BC result was the exception, not the rule. Javier Castellano will be in the saddle of the 123 highweight from the rail after three bullet works this month.

Souper Colossal - multiple stakes winning Edward Plesa trained colt has four wins in five career starts - the only blemish was a seventh in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Before that race was a nice win in the minor Sapling Stakes which followed a win in the minor Tyro Stakes and a maiden score in June - all three results at Monmouth Park. He bounced back last time out with an easy 1 1/2 length win in the minor Texas Glitter Stakes on this very track February 7. Joel Rosario will be in charge looking for Souper Colossal's first graded stakes win from post 5 Saturday.
