Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky will be the center of the horse racing universe this weekend. One of the races on the schedule is the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint - a seven furlong dash for older females. A purse of $1 million will be on the line.

2015 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Race Favorite Entries

Cavorting 3-1 - has just seven career starts with five wins. She enters on a nice three race win streak - the Grade 2 Prioress Stakes last time out at Saratoga September 16, the Grade 1 Test Stakes August 8 and the minor Jersey Girl Stakes June 5 at Belmont Park. It followed an ugly ninth in the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes at Gulfstream February 21, a troubled seventh in the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes at Belmont Park October 4 and a terrific win in the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga August 10. She also had an 11 length a maiden score in wire-to-wire fashion at Belmont Park July 3. She has been up and down in her career but has been seriously trending upward ahead of this weekend. Irad Ortiz has the mount hoping to keep the roll going from the outside post 14 as the morning line favorite.

Stonetastic 5-1 - Kelly Breen trained filly won the Grade 2 Prioress Stakes in August, 2014 and has been up and down since. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score by an astounding 15 3/4 lengths at Parx September 1 after a second in the minor Shine Again Stakes at Saratoga in August, and eight months away. Before the layoff was a seventh in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes in November and a fourth in last year's BC Filly and Mare Sprint. She has four wins, two seconds and three third place finishes in 12 career starts and will be after her first stakes score in 14 months. Paco Lopez rides from gate 8.

La Verdad 6-1 - speedy Linda Rice trained mare has 16 wins and two second place finishes in 22 career starts and enters on a terrific six race win streak (all this year) - by 3 3/4 lengths in the minor Iroquois Stakes last time out (for the second year in a row) at Belmont Park October 24, the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap September 26, by an impressive four lengths in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Handicap July 29, the minor Dancin Rose Stakes June 28, the Grade 1 Vagrancy Handicap at Belmont Park in May and a good win by 5 1/4 lengths in the Grade 2 Distaff Handicap (for the second straight year) at Aqueduct April 18. La Verdad hasn't been touched in the last six months and is definitely one of the contenders to catch in this one. Jose Ortiz gets the call from gate 4 in La Verdad's first start outside New York.

Judy the Beauty 6-1 - Wesley Ward trained mare is the defending champion in this race - she also won the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Stakes in her start before the BC. She has three starts this year and has placed in all - a troubled third last time out in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes on this track October 3 followed a third in the Grade 3 Honorable Miss Handicap in July and a second in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs in May. Judy the Beauty now has nine wins, eight seconds and three third place finishes in 21 career starts - competitive every time out. She hopes to keep the roll going from post 11 with Lenfranco Dettori guiding her.

Dame Dorothy 10-1 - Todd Pletcher trained filly has 11 career starts - seven wins, a second and two third place finishes. She enters off an OK third in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap at Belmont Park September 26 and a disappointing sixth in the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes August 29. Before that was a great win in the Grade 3 Bed o' Roses Handicap June 20, another win - over champion Judy the Beauty in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs May 2, a second in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes at Santa Anita March 15 and a nice 2 length win in the listed Florida Sunshine Millions Distaff. She also had an OK third in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct November 29, a win in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park last October and a win in her stakes debut - the minor Malvern Rose Stakes in August, 2014. Dame Dorothy has been in a bit of a slump but hopes to rectify that Saturday. She will have John Velazquez in the saddle from gate 2 looking to snap a two race losing streak.

Super Majesty 10-1 - lightly raced Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly has four career starts with three wins and a second place finish. Last time out was a win in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Dogwood Stakes September 19 after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming in August and two wins to start her career. Super Majesty has looked great so far and hopes to keep the roll going from gate 6 with Alex Solis in the irons.

Taris 12-1 - Simon Callahan trained filly has placed in seven of eight career starts - five wins, a second and a third place finish. Last time out was a third in the Grade 3 LA Woman Stakes at Santa Anita October 4 after a win in the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Stakes August 16, a second in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes in December and a win on this track by nine lengths in the Grade 3 Raven Run Stakes in October, 2014. Taris has won three of her last five starts and enters in very good form. Gary Stevens has the mount from post 3.

Wavell Avenue 12-1 - Chad Brown trained filly has placed in eight of 12 career starts - five wins, a second and two third place finishes. Last time out was a decent second in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Stakes at Belmont Park September 26 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score August 26 and a fourth in the minor Shine Again Stakes August 5. Wavell Avenue will be after her first stakes score Saturday when she leaves from post 7 with Joel Rosario guiding her.

Room for Me 15-1 - raced in graded stakes company for the first time May 16 and finished a good second in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap at Belmont Park - a result that was followed by a dominant 3 3/4 length Allowance Optional Claiming score May 25. She has been OK since - a fourth last time out in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap September 26 followed a third in the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes August 29, a nice win in the minor Regret Stakes at Monmouth Park August 1 and a fourth in the Grade 3 Bed o' Roses Handicap June 20. Room for Me also had three straight wins by a combined 27 1/4 lengths to start her year and now has five wins, a second and a third in her last nine starts overall - pretty good. She has been competitive this year and looks for her first graded stakes score Saturday when she leaves from gate 12 with Victor Espinoza in the irons.

Merry Meadow 20-1 - multiple Grade 3 winner Mark Hennig trained filly placed in six of eight starts last year and enters this week having won two of her four starts this year - the Grade 2 Princess Rooney Stakes at Gulfstream July 5 and a superb 9 1/2 length win in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes February 14 . She enters off a seventh in the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes August 29 and also had a sixth in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes this year. Merry Meadow ended 2014 with two straight wins - by 1 1/4 lengths in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes and a victory by 1 3/4 lengths in the minor Sky Beauty Stakes November 1 at Gulfstream Park West. Other good results include a second in the Grade 3 Bed o' Roses Handicap last June and a terrific win in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap by 3 3/4 lengths at 6-1 odds May 17, 2014. She now has 29 career starts with nine wins, 10 seconds and five third place. Merry Meadow enters in inconsistent form and will have Joe Bravo aboard from post 13.

Artemis Agrotera 20-1 - Michael Hushion trainee was last seen running seventh in last year's BC Filly and Mare Sprint. Before that were three straight wins -the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom at Belmont Park in September, 2014, the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes by an eye-opening 6 1/2 lengths August 23 and by an impressive 10 1/4 lengths in an Allowance Optional Claiming July 23. This after a disappointing eighth in the Grade 1 Acorn Stakes in June and an equally disappointing fifth in the 2013 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. She has five wins in eight career starts and makes her first start in nearly a year Saturday. She has been training brilliantly ahead of this week (three bullet works) and will have Junior Alvarado tabbed with knocking off the rust from post 5.

Sweet Whiskey 30-1 - Todd Pletcher trained filly has just three wins, five seconds and two third place finishes in 16 career starts. She won the Grade 3 Old Hat Stakes in January, 2014 but hasn't recorded a graded stakes score since. In fact she has just one win in her last 12 starts - an Allowance Optional Claiming three starts back at Saratoga in July. Last time out was a fifth in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes on this track October 3 after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming in August. Sweet Whiskey enters in less-than-spectacular form and departs from post 9 with Javier Castellano guiding her.

Kiss to Remember 30-1 - Martin Wolfson trained filly has 20 career starts with five wins, eight seconds and two third place finishes and has placed in three of her last four starts. She enters off consecutive seconds - the minor Added Elegance Stakes last time out at Gulfstream Park September 27 and the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga August 29. Before that was a good win in the minor Monroe Handicap at Gulfstream July 25, a third in the Grade 3 Princess Rooney Stakes July 5 also at Gulfstream and a fourth in the minor Minnesota HBPA Distaff June 6. She has placed in all three of her graded stakes and looks for her first win against top company. Julien Leparoux gets the call from post 10.

Fioretti 30-1 - Anthony Hamilton trained mare has 22 career starts with five wins, seven seconds and a third place finish - three wins, a second and a third place finish in seven starts this year. She enters off a career best effort - a win in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes on this track October 3 which followed a second in the Grade 3 Groupie Doll Stakes at Ellis Park August 8 and a win in the minor Roxelana Stakes at Churchill Downs in June- her graded stakes debut. Fioretti has certainly been trending upward ahead of this weekend and enters in career best from. Sophie Doyle has been tabbed to keep the roll going from the rail Saturday.
