World Approval 4-1 - Mark Casse trained gelding has three wins and two second place finishes in seven career starts and is coming off his best career result - a good win in the Grade 3 American Derby at Arlington July 11. Before that was a fourth in the minor Pennine Ridge Stakes in May, a third in the Grade 2 American Turf Stakes at Churchill Downs in May and a win in the restricted Sophomore Turf Stakes in April. Startup Nation 6-1 - Chad Brown trained colt is coming off consecutive thirds - in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby Invitational July 4 and in the minor Pennine Ridge Stakes May 30. Those results followed a disappointing eleventh in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf and a fourth in the Grade 3 Pilgrim Stakes at Belmont Park September 28. He did win the Grade 2 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga in August but hasn't tasted victory since.
