2016 Jessamine Stakes Race Preview at Keeneland Race Course

Lull 3-1 - Christophe Clement trained filly won her debut by three lengths at Belmont Park July 16 and went on to post a DNF after clipping heels and falling in the minor Bolton Landing Stakes - as favorite at Saratoga August 17. She bounced back in a big way last time out and posted a nice win in the minor Exacta Systems Juvenile Fillies Stakes at Kentucky Downs September 3. Outside of one bad outing Lull has been impressive and will be looking to keep the roll going in her graded stakes debut from gate 4. Brian Joseph Hernandez has been tabbed to ride the tepid morning line favorite from gate 4.

La Coronel 7-2 - Mark Casse trained filly has three career starts with one win to show for it - that coming last time out at Saratoga September 4. She started her career with a fifth and a fourth respectively in MSW this past summer. La Coronel will look to build on a good effort last timeout when she leaves from gate 2 with Florent Geroux aboard as the morning line second choice.

Sweeping Paddy 5-1 - finished third in her debut for trainer Dale Romans - at Ellis Park August 13 and went on to break maiden in her only other career start last time out - by an eye-opening 12 1/4 lengths at Churchill Downs September 10. Sweeping Paddy will be out to make it two wins in a row from post 5 Wednesday. Robby Albarado will be in the saddle of the third betting choice.

Tapa Tapa Tapa 8-1 - has placed in three of four career starts for trainer Timothy Hamm - two wins and a second place finish - all at Woodbine. Last time out was a somewhat disappointing stakes debut - a sixth in the G1 Natalma Stakes September 18. That result followed an Allowance score August 27, a maiden score July 31 and a second in her debut July 16. Outside of one bad result Tapa Tapa Tapa has been very competitive. Joe Bravo will be in the irons hoping for a strong bounce back from gate 8 Wednesday.

Liberale 10-1 - French bred Chad Brown trained filly has two career starts - both in France. She debuted August 18 with an Allowance score and was most recently fifth in the Group 3 Prix d'Aumale at Chantilly September 8. Liberale makes her North American debut in decent form and will have Jose Ortiz guiding her from an unfortunate outside gate 14 Wednesday.

Lipstick City 10-1 - will hit the track for just the second time for trainer Chad Brown looking to build on a nice effort in her debut - a maiden score at Belmont Park September 11. Lipstick City was good in her only race and hopes to be so again in her step up in competition - from post 7 with Jose Lezcano guiding her.

Majestic Bonnie 10-1 - has hit the board in both of her career starts for trainer George Weaver - one win which came in her debut at Saratoga July 24 and an OK third last time out in her stakes debut - the minor PG Johnson Stakes also at Saratoga September 1. Majestic Bonnie has been OK so far and will be out for a career-defining win from post 9 Wednesday with Manuel Franco aboard.

Wicked Lick 12-1 - will race for the third time for trainer Brendan Walsh having posted a win and a runner-up finish so far. She debuted August 19 and finished second at Ellis Park before breaking maiden last time out - at Churchill Downs September 22. Wicked Lick has shown improvement and hopes to keep that trend going from post 3 Wednesday. Julien Leparoux will be in the reins.

Majestic Gale 12-1 - failed to hit the board in her first two career starts for trainer Joe Sharp but has looked better in two starts since. Last time out was an impressive 4 1/2 length win in the minor Happy Ticket Stakes at Louisiana Downs September 10 which followed a maiden score at Ellis Park August 19. Majestic Gale has certainly been trending upward and will be after her second straight stakes win in her graded stakes debut from gate 6. Joel Rosario is scheduled to ride this intriguing 12-1 shot.

Zero Zee 15-1 - will race for just the third time for trainer George Weaver having posted one win so far. The win came in her debut - at Saratoga August 12 - a result that was followed by a fifth in her stakes debut - the minor Selima Stakes at Laurel Park September 10. Zero Zee looked a tad out of place in her step up in competition last time out and will be out to make a statement from gate 12. John Velazquez gets the call.

Senora Acero 30-1 - Bret Calhoun trained filly has a win and a second place finish in her three career starts. Last time out was an OK stakes debut - a second in the minor Happy Ticket Stakes at Louisiana Downs September 10. Before that was a maiden score at Ellis Park July 9 and a fifth in her debut in June. Senora Acero has been decent so far and looks for a breakthrough win in her graded stakes bow. Israel Ocampo has been tabbed to ride from the rail.

Rum Go 30-1 - finished eighth in her debut for trainer Thomas Proctor - at Laurel Park July 1 but bounced back and posted a maiden score in her only other career start - at Delaware Park August 4. Rum Go steps into stakes company for the first time looking to make it two wins in a row - from gate 10 with James Graham guiding her.

Divine Humor 50-1 - Larry Harris trained filly has six starts already and has placed in five - one win, two seconds and two third place finishes. She finally broke maiden last time out September 17 at Thistletown in her sixth start after a third, a second and a fifth respectively this past summer. Divine Humor has been just OK so far but off a career-best effort may be a factor. Calvin Borel has the mount from post 11.

Queen Del Valle 50-1 - Reid Nagle trained filly has placed in all four career starts - all of which came at Gulfstream Park. She makes her stakes debut on the heels of a three race win streak - a Starter Optional Claiming September 16, another Starter Optional Claiming September 2 and a Maiden Claiming July 22. Queen De Valle takes a huge step up in competition but does so in good form. Edgard Zayas has been tabbed with making if four straight wins from post 13.
