2016 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Entries at Laurel Park

X Y Jet 9-5 - speedy Jorge Navarro trained gelding has been impressive in his career but struggled last time out to a fifth in the G1 Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park October 1. Before that was a second in the prestigious Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan back on March 26 and five straight wins - the G3 Gulfstream Park Sprint in February, the minor Sunshine Millions Sprint in January, the G3 Mr. Prospector in December and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming races. Overall he has six wins, six seconds and a third place finish in 16 career starts and will try to bounce back from an uncharacteristic effort last time out. Emisael Jamarillo has the mount on the probable favorite from gate 8 Saturday.

Stallwalkin' Dude 5-2 - last year's fourth place finisher in this race - late blooming David Jacobson trained gelding has 16 wins, five seconds and seven third place finishes in 46 career starts and enters in decent form. Last time out was his first ever graded stakes win - the G3 Bold Ruler Handicap at Belmont Park October 29 after a respectable second with a career-best 104 Beyer Speed Figure in the G1 Vosburgh Stakes October 1, a third in the G1 Forego Stakes at Saratoga August 27 and a win in the minor Tale of the Cat Stakes August 12. He also had an Allowance score at Parx March 21, a third in the G3 Tom Fool Handicap March 12, a third in the 2015 Vosburgh Stakes and a third in the G3 Belmont Sprint Championship in July, 2015. He enters having failed to place in his last three starts overall - a fourth last time out in the minor Find Stakes at Pimlico June 25 followed another fourth in the G3 Maryland Sprint on that track Mat 21 and an eighth in the G2 Charles Town Classic in April. Before that was a win in the minor Ben's Cat Stakes at Laurel Park March 19, a respectable third in the G3 General George Stakes on that track February 15 and another minor stakes score at Laurel Park - the Fire Plug Stakes in January.
