She also had an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Suffolk Downs August 7 and a fifth in a similar race at Belmont Park in July. Paige posted a seventh in her only other graded stakes start - in the G3 Iowa Oaks in June, 2015. She has been OK lately and will be looking for her first stakes score from post 11 Saturday. Paco Lopez gets the call.
Arles - French bred Graham Motion trained filly has placed in 10 of 11 career starts - two wins, six seconds and six third place finishes. She finished second in a Group 2 race at home in May, 2015 and was competitive in every start there including a minor stakes win at Hannover in June of this year. She has two North American starts and was good in both to nobody's surprise. Last time out was a second as favorite in the G3 Red Carpet Handicap at Del Mar November 24 after another second in the G3 Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga September 3. Arles has been knocking on the door of her first group/graded stakes win and hopes it comes Saturday. Joel Rosario is scheduled to ride from post 7.

Desiree Clary - German bred Christophe Clement trained mare has three wins, three seconds and a third place finish in 11 career starts. She placed in four of her six starts at home with a couple of Allowance scores being the highlights and has been OK since shipping. Last time out was a second in the minor Via Borghese Stakes on this track December 31 after a respectable third in the G3 Long Island Handicap at Aqueduct November 6 and consecutive fifths - the G3 Violet Stakes September 10 and the G3 Waya Stakes in August. Desiree Clary has been OK so far in her career but has yet to post a stakes win. Jockey Javier Castellano will try to change all of that from gate 4 Saturday.
Suffused - Bill Mott trained British bred filly has placed in 10 of 14 career starts - five wins, four seconds and a third place finish. She was OK in Europe but has stepped up her game since arriving in North America. Last time out was a respectable second in the G1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine October 16 after a good win in the G3 Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga September 3, a second in the G3 Fasig-Tipton Waya Stakes on that track August 6, a win in the minor Belmont Coronation Invitational Stakes in June and a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming in May. Suffused has two wins and two seconds in her last four starts overall and is expected to be competitive yet again Saturday. Jose Ortiz will be in the saddle from an unfortunate outside gate 12 Saturday.
Flipcup - legendary trainer Bill Mott sends out Flipcup who has seven wins, five seconds and seven third place finishes in 25 career starts. She won the G3 Maple Leaf Stakes at Woodbine in October, 2015 and also had a nice win in the G3 Arlington Matron Stakes in May of 2016 but has been just OK since. She enters on the heels of consecutive third place finishes in minor stakes action - the Via Borghese Stakes here December 31 and the Ticonderoga Stakes at Belmont Park in October. Before that was an eighth in the minor John Hettinger Stakes in September and an OK second in the minor Yaddo Stakes at Saratoga in August. Flipcup shoots for her third graded stakes win and hopes to snap a six race losing streak when she leaves from post 9 in decent form. John Velazquez rides.
Try Your Luck - Michael Maker trained filly has placed in 10 of 11 career starts - three wins, a second and six third place finishes. Try Your Luck has been a factor in every race so far in her career and will be after a first graded stakes score from post 3. Florent Geroux gets the call.
Wapi - Chilean bred Thomas Proctor trained mare had 11 starts at home with six wins and two runner-up finishes - the best of which were a pair of Group 1 victories - the Las Oaks in December, 2015 and the El Ensayo MEGA a month earlier. Her last start at home was a second in the Group 1 Copa Juan S. Jackson in January, 2016 before being sent to the sidelines for a year. She has one start since her hiatus and it was her North American debut which resulted in a seventh in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Tampa Bay January 8. Wapi has certainly shown form in the past and will be out to rediscover that form when she leaves from gate 10 Saturday with Julien Leparoux guiding her.
Gypsy Eyes - Irish bred Patrick Biancone trained filly had six starts at home but placed in just two including a second in a Handicap in her last start there - at Ascot in July. She has three starts in North America with varying results - a fifth last time out in the minor Tropical Park Oaks here December 31 followed two straight wins - the minor Cellars Shiraz Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 5 and an Allowance score on this track in September. Gypsy Eyes seems to have hit her stride since shipping and will be out for a breakthrough performance in her graded stakes debut. Luis Saez has been tabbed to ride from gate 2.
Lobelia - has hit the board in nine of 11 career starts for trainer Carlo Vaccarezza - five wins, two seconds and two third place finishes. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off an Allowance score here December 18, a second in the Claiming Crown Tiara Stakes on this track December 3, a Starter Allowance score at Gulfstream Park West November 6 and consecutive thirds in Allowance races this past fall. Lobelia has placed in six straight ahead of this weekend and hopes her success against lesser competition translates in her step up. Corey Lanerie will be in the reins from gate 8.
Quiet Kitten - Dale Romans trained mare made her graded stakes debut last January 9 and finished a disappointing eighth in the Grade 3 Marshua's River Stakes on this track and has mostly been disappointing since. Last time out was a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming here back on July 16 after a fourth in a similar race at Pimlico in June, an eighth in the G3 Orchid Stakes here in April, a fifth in the G3 The Very One Stakes on this track in March and an OK second in a Starter Stakes here February 15. She posted a win by two lengths in the $125,000 Claiming Crown Tiara Stakes December 5, 2015 and also had a second in the minor Cellars Shiraz Stakes October 31 of that year. Quiet Kitten now has seven wins, two seconds and four third place finishes in 23 career starts but has failed to place in her last four overall. She tries for a first ever graded stakes victory Saturday when she leaves from the rail with Tyler Gaffalione aboard.
Promotional - defending ninth place finisher in this race has three wins, a second and three third place finishes in 14 career starts for trainer Thomas Proctor. She has failed to place in three starts ahead of this weekend - a fourth last time out in the minor Via Borghese Stakes here December 31 followed a fifth in the G3 Long Island Handicap at Aqueduct November 6 and a seventh in the minor Kentucky Downs Ladies Marathon in September. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score. Promotional will chase her first stakes win Saturday and enters in less-than-spectacular form. Jose Lezcano has been tabbed with changing her luck around from gate 6.
Stay the Night - Shug McGaughey trained mare has two wins , a second and two third place finishes in 10 career starts. She started her career in Europe where she posted two wins (in her first two career starts) and two thirds in six starts and has been largely underwhelming in North America. Last time out was a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming here December 29 which followed a second, a sixth and another sixth respectively in another trio of Allowance Optional Claiming races. Stay the Night hasn't been great but will be after a special effort Saturday when she leaves from post 5 with Nik Juarez guiding her.
