OffTrackBetting.com - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida will play host to the G3 My Charmer Handicap on Saturday, December 16. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will be featured when they take to Gulfstream's turf track and race one mile for the winner's share of the $100,000 purse.

A field of nine will line up in the My Charmer Handicap - race 8 on Gulfstream's stacked Saturday card. Post time is 3:35 PM. Here is a brief glance into the past performances of all nine combatants for this intriguing G3 stakes.

2017 My Charmer Handicap Entries at Gulfstream Park

On Leave 7-5

Has hit the board in 11 of 13 career starts for trainer Shug McGaughey - six wins, three seconds and two third-place finishes. Last time out was an OK third in the G2 Goldikova Stakes at Del Mar November 4 after a nice win in the listed All Along Stakes at Laurel Park September 16 and a fifth in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 26. Before that was a second in the minor De La Rose Stakes at Saratoga August 5, a win in the listed Perfect Sting Stakes at Belmont Park in July and a decent second in the G3 Gallorette stakes at Pimlico in May. She won the G2 Sands Point Stakes at Belmont Park in September, 2016. On Leave has been competitive every time out and shoots for a first graded stakes score in 15 months. Irad Ortiz will guide the morning line favorite in her Gulfstream debut from post 5.

Stormy Victoria 7-2

Christophe Clement trained French bred mare had two wins in eight career starts at home but failed to place in her last four - all stakes races. She returned from seven months away from the track and made her North American debut April 29, 2016 and promptly won an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park. Stormy Victoria has been OK since - a second in the minor Autumn Days Stakes last time out at Aqueduct November 26 followed a sixth in the G3 Ontario Fashion Stakes at Woodbine October 28, an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Belmont Park September 22, a third in the G2 Nassau Stakes at Woodbine May 27 and a second in the minor Powder Break Stakes at here April 29. Before that was a fourth in the 2016 My Charmer Handicap at Gulfstream Park West last November, a second in the G3 Athenia Stakes at Belmont Park last October and a third in the G3 Noble Damsel Stakes September 24, 2016. She has placed in eight of 10 North American starts but still has yet to claim a stakes/group score. Jockey Joel Rosario hopes to change all of that Saturday from the post 7.

Southern Gem 6-1

Sid Attard trained mare has four wins, two seconds and two third place finishes in her 20 career starts. She was last seen winning an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Woodbine November 17 after an eighth in the minor River Memories Stakes on that track November 3 and a fifth in the G3 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine September 16. Before that was another fifth in the G2 Nassau Stakes here back on May 27, a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming February 24 at Gulfstream, an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs November 10 and a fifth, a second and a fourth respectively in a trio of Allowance races last year. Her only other graded stakes action came before that and resulted in a seventh in the G3 Old Forester Mint Julep Handicap at Churchill Downs last June. Southern Gem has placed in just one of her last five starts (a win last time out) and tries for a first stakes score from gate 2. Javier Castellano gets the call.

Gianna's Dream 6-1

Has nine wins, a second and four third-place finishes in 17career starts for trainer Michael Maker. She made her graded stakes debut three starts back and finished an OK third in the G3 Violet Stakes at Monmouth Park August 19 and followed that with two straight wins - the minor Oklahoma Classics Distaff Turf Stakes last time out at Remington Park October 20 and the minor Rick's Memorial Stakes at Remington Park September 24. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Laurel Park July 15, a fourth in the minor Lady Canterbury Stakes June 18, a second in the minor Pago Hop Stakes at Fair Grounds last December and a third in the minor Winter Memories Stakes at Aqueduct in November, 2016. Other results include wins in the 2016 Oklahoma Classics Distaff Turf at Remington Park last October and the minor Bob Barry Memorial Stakes on that track in September, 2016. Gianna's Dream has won three of her last four starts overall and hopes for a first graded stakes score in her second try from gate 8. Tyler Gaffalione has the mount.

Defiant Honor 10-1

Has eight career starts for trainer James Toner with three wins and a second-place finish. Last time out was a disappointing fifth in the G3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes at Keeneland October 20 which followed an eighth as favorite in the G2 Sands Pont Stakes at Belmont Park September 16, a nice win in the minor $100,000 Riskaverse Stakes at Saratoga August 24, a sixth in the G2 Lake George Stakes on that track July 21 and a one-length Allowance score at Belmont Park June 21. Before that was a respectable graded stakes debut - a second after leading most of the way in the G3 Jimmy Durante Stakes at Del Mar in November. Defiant Honor will be after a first graded stakes score and a strong bounce back off two underwhelming efforts when she departs from the outside post 9 with John Velazquez guiding her.

Inside Out 12-1

Martin Wolfson trained mare has four wins, four seconds and a third-place finish in 18 career starts. She has three graded stakes starts and has failed to place in any - a fifth in the G3 Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park in July, 2016, a seventh in the G3 Rampart Stakes on this track in December, 2016 and a fifth in the G3 Marshua's River Stakes here January 14. She arrives in typically inconsistent form - a fifth last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream Park West October 20 followed a second in the minor Christmas Past Stakes here May 27, a fifth in the minor Powder Break Stakes on this track April 29 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score here in March. She also had an OK second behind Mississippi Delta in an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track February. Inside Out hasn't been all that impressive but hopes to change her fortunes around from post 3 Saturday. Paco Lopez has the mount.

Josdesanimaux 12-1

Multiple stakes winning Ralph Nicks trained mare has 20 career starts with five wins, two seconds and two third-place finishes. Last time out was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream Park West October 20 which followed a sixth in the minor Wasted Tears Stakes here September 2 and a second in the minor Panama City Stakes on thus track August 13. Before that was a ninth in the G3 Intercontinental Stakes at Belmont Park in June and a fourth in the G2 Honey Fox Stakes here April 1. She won the 2016 Panama City Stakes at Gulfstream last October and in 2015 posted a seventh in the G3 Royal North Stakes, a fourth in the G3 Mint Julep Stakes and a fifth in the G3 Gallorette Handicap. Josdesanimaux shoots for a first graded stakes score Saturday in so-so recent form. Luca Panici will be in the reins from gate 4.

April Gaze 20-1

Has 14 career starts for trainer Edward Plea with five wins, three seconds and a third-place finish. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off a second in the minor Millions Distaff Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 11, an Allowance Optional Claiming score August 20, a fourth, a second and a third in a trio of similar races at Monmouth Park this past summer. April Gaze has been OK in her career but looked pretty good last time out. She hopes to build on that effort from the rail Saturday with Edgard Zayas in the saddle.

Pancake 20-1

Stanley Gold trained filly has just three wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in her 18 career starts. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday in less-than-spectacular form - consecutive fifths in Allowance Optional Claiming races (one on this track September 29) followed a sixth in a similar race here September 1 and off-the-board finishes in minor stakes action before that. She won the Joseph E. Spanky Broussard Overnight Stakes at Fair Grounds in 2015 but hasn't posted a victory since. Pancake tries to snap a lengthy ugly stretch Saturday when she leaves from gate 6 with Miguel Angel Vasquez aboard.
