2017 First Lady Stakes Entries at Keeneland Racecourse

Dickinson

Kiaran McLaughlin trained mare has hit the board in 12 of 17 career starts - seven wins, two seconds and three third-place finishes. She enters off an OK second in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 26 which followed a fifth in the G1 Diana Stakes on that track July 22, a third in the G1 Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park June 10 and a nice three race win streak - over Lady Eli the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes on this track April 15, the G2 Hillsborough Stakes at Tampa Bay March 11 and by 1 1/4 lengths in the G3 Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park February 11. Before that was a fourth in the G3 Marshua's River Stakes on that track January 14 and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores in the fall. Dickinson has placed in five of her last six starts with three wins over that span and hopes to snap a three-race losing streak Saturday. Paco Lopez has the mount from gate 6.

Dona Bruja

Impressive Argentinean bred Ignacio Correas trained mare has 10 wins and three runner-up finishes in her 13 career starts - impressive. She won her last three starts at home including a pair of Group 2 races and the Group 1 Copa de Plata-Roberto Vasquez Mansilla-Internacional and has been competitive indeed in three North American starts. Last time out was an decent second in the G1 Beverly D. Stakes at Arlington August 12 which followed a nice win in the G3 Modesty Handicap on that track July 8 and a good win in her North American debut - the G3 Mint Julep Handicap at Churchill Downs June 10. Roca Rojo

Impressive Irish bred Chad Brown trained mare has six wins, a second and a third-place finish in her 10 career starts. She won her first two starts at home and debuted in North America with an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Belmont Park last June 30. She followed that with a fourth in the minor Fasig-Tipton De La Rose Stakes in August, another Allowance Optional Claiming score at Belmont Park September 15 and a win in the 2016 G3 Athenia Stakes at Belmont Park October 23. Last time out was an OK third a neck behind Dickinson in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 26 which followed a disappointing seventh in the G1 Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park June 19, a win in the G2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile May 6 and a respectable second behind Miss Temple City in the G1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar in December. Roca Rojo has been very good in the past and will be out to bounce back off a couple of underwhelming results. Javier Castellano gets the call from gate 4.

Hawksmoor

Irish bred Arnaud Delacour trained filly has placed in 10 of 14 career starts - five wins and five third place finishes. She won a Group 3 888sport Prestige Stakes overseas in August, 2015 and has been decent since. Hawksmoor has been competitive so far but hopes for a strong bounce back off an underwhelming effort. Julien Leparoux gets the call from the outside post 7.

One Liz

Wayne Catalano trained mare has seven wins in her 22 career starts to go along with three seconds and two third-place finishes. She arrives off a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming August 27 and a fourth and another second in a pair of similar races this past summer - all at Arlington. Before that was a sixth in her only graded stakes action to date - the G3 Modesty Handicap at Arlington July 8 and two straight wins including the minor Isaac Murphy Handicap at Arlington in June. One Liz has been just OK in her career so far and hopes for a breakthrough win Saturday. Jose Valdivia has been tabbed to ride from the rail.

Delectation

British bred Andreas Wohler trained filly has won four of her seven career starts. She makes her North American debut Saturday off a good win in the Group 3 Grosse Europa Meile des Porsche Zentrum Dusseldorf in Germany September 10 after failing to hit the board in her previous three - all Group stakes in Germany. She posted three straight wins before that to start her career including a pair of Group 3 races in Germany as well. Delectation has shown some serious form at times and hopes it translates in her first North American start. Edwin Pedroza will be in the saddle from gate 2.

Zipessa

Has 15 career starts for trainer Michael Stidham with four wins, three seconds and three third place finishes. She enters off a respectable second in the G3 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes September 9 which followed an ugly ninth in the G1 Beverly D. Stakes at Arlington August 12 and a third in the G3 Eatontown Stakes June 3. Before that were consecutive fifths - the G2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes May 6 and the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. Stakes at Arlington August 13, a good win in the G3 Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes last July 4 and a third in the G3 Mint Julep Stakes at Churchill Downs last June.
