Lady Eli - impressive Chad Brown trained star mare has been superb in her 10-race career - seven wins and three second place finishes. She enters on he heels of consecutive close runner-up finishes - the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes by a head as favorite last time out at Keeneland April 15 and by just a nose in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. Before that was a great win in the G1 Flower Bowl Stakes at Belmont Park October 8, another second in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 27 and 13 months away from the track. Before the layoff were wins in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational in July, 2015, in the minor Wonder Again Stakes May 31, the G3 Appalachian Stakes in April and a career defining 2 3/4 length win in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. Lady Eli was an Eclipse Award finalist in 2014 and 2016 and looks to get back on that path again. She could easily be undefeated but tries to snap a two race losing streak Saturday with Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard the obvious favorite from the outside gate 6.
Avenge - Richard Mandella trained filly has 13 career starts with six wins and two third place finishes. She has looked good lately - a third last time out behind Lady Eli way back on November 5 in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf followed a win in gate-to-wire fashion in the G1 Rodeo Drive Stakes on this track October 1, another win in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 4 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track in July. She failed to place in her prior three starts but had an OK win in the minor Ultrafleet Stakes on this track before that. Avenge arrives in very good form for her first race in nearly seven months with Flavien Prat in the reins from the rail.
Goodyearforroses - Irish bred filly has 16 career starts with seven wins and two third place finishes for trainer Richard Baltas. She enters off an OK fast-closing fifth in the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland April 15 which followed a three race win streak - the G2 Santa Ana Stakes at this distance, on this track March 12, the minor Astra II Stakes February 2 and the Robert J. Frankel Stakes December 31 - all at Santa Anita. Before that was an OK third in the G3 Maple Leaf Stakes at Woodbine November 5, a disappointing seventh in the G2 Canadian Stakes on that track in September and another two race win streak - the minor Flaming Page Stakes at Woodbine August 13 and an Allowance there July 22. Goodyearforroses has won five of her last eight starts overall and searches for a second graded stakes score Saturday with Corey Nakatani guiding her from gate 4.

Mokat has failed to place in four of her last five starts overall but has shown form in the past and will be after just her second win in 19 months. Rafael Bejarano has the mount from post 5.
