Melmich 6-5
Versatile Kevin Attard trained gelding has placed in 23 of 29 career starts - 13 wins, seven seconds and three third-place finishes. He enters on a nice two-race win streak - the G3 Dominion Day Stakes here July 1 (for the second year in a row) and an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track May 31 after six months away and an OK second in the G3 Valedictory Stakes here in December - a race that he won in 2015 as well. He has six wins, two seconds and two third-place finishes in his last 11 starts overall - competitive every time out. He shoots for his third straight win Sunday from post 3 with Eurico Rosa Da Silva in the reins of the morning line favorite.
Are You Kidding Me 5-2
2015 and 2016 Canadian Sovereign Award winner for champion older male and defending runner-up in this race had a nice two race win streak in the summer of 2015 including the G2 Nijinsky Stakes and the G2 Eclipse Stakes. He won three graded stakes in 2016 as well - the G2 Autumn Stakes in November, the G3 Durham Cup Stakes in September and the 2016 Eclipse Stakes in May. He also posted a couple of good seconds in 2016 - the G2 Sky Classic August 21 and the Seagram Cup August 1 (both on this track). He arrives off an OK third behind Melmich and Gigantic Breeze in the G3 Dominion Day Stakes here July 1 which followed a second in the G2 Eclipse Stakes May 20 and an Allowance score on this track April 29. Before that were five months away from the track and an eighth in the G1 Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs in November. Are You Kidding Me has placed in seven of his last eight starts overall and will be after a first stakes win in nearly 10 months from the outside post 7. Rafael Manuel Hernandez has the mount on the second betting choice.

Unbridled Juan 4-1
Has placed in 17 of 18 career starts for trainer Josie Carroll - four wins, six seconds and seven third place finishes - his only off-the-board finish came last time out with a fourth in the G2 King Edward Stakes here July 2. Before that was his graded stakes debut when he finished third right behind Are You Kidding Me in the G2 Eclipse Stakes on this track May 20 after a third in an Allowance here April 29, a second in the minor Queen's County Stakes at Aqueduct December 17 and a win and consecutive thirds in Allowance Optional Claiming races on New York tracks. Unbridled Juan has been a factor in every career start and hopes to bounce back off an underwhelming effort last time out. Luis Contreras gets the call on the third choice from gate 6.
Gigantic Breeze 6-1
Alexander McPherson trained gelding has 14 career starts with four wins and a second-place finish - all on this track. He made his stakes debut last time out and finished a very respectable runner-up finish behind Melmich in the G3 Dominion Day Stakes July 1 after three straight wins - an Allowance Optional Claiming June 10, an Allowance May 13 and an Optional Claiming April 22. He failed to place in his previous nine starts. Gigantic Breeze arrives in career-best form and will chase a first stakes win from the rail Sunday with Gary Boulanger aboard.
Keen Gizmo 10-1
Josie Carroll trained gelding has 24 career starts with five wins, eight seconds and three third-place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut Sunday off a nice win in the minor Steady Growth Stakes here may 22, a fourth in the minor Sir Barton Stakes on this track November 26 and consecutive runner-up finishes in Allowance Optional Claiming races on this track. He failed to place in two minor stakes races before that in 2016. Keen Gizmo as been OK lately against lesser competition and shoots for a second straight stakes win from post 5. David Moran rides.
Bear'sway 20-1
Has eight career starts for trainer Reade Baker with three wins and a pair of runner-up finishes - all on this track. Last time out was an uncharacteristic sixth in an Allowance Optional Claiming June 10 after 13 months away, a second in the G3 Marine Stakes in May, 2016, a nice win in the minor Wando Stakes in April, 2016 and a fourth in the listed Display Stakes in November, 2015. His other graded stakes result was a sixth in the G2 Summer Stakes in September, 2015. Bear'sway has been OK in his career and will be after a strong bounce back in his second start in 16 months. Jesse Campbell gets the call from gate 4.
Secret Passage 20-1
Malcolm Pierce trained colt has three wins, a second and a third-place finish in 10 career starts. He arrives on the heels of three straight fifth-place finishes - an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out here June 9, an Allowance on this track June 29 and the listed Essex Handicap at Oaklawn Park March 18. He posted a win, a second and a third respectively in a trio of Allowance races before that. His only graded stakes action came in September of last year - a fifth in the G3 Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park. Secret Passage hasn't been all that impressive lately but hopes to snap a funk from gate 2 with Patrick Husbands guiding him.
