Trainer Bill Mott (Long on Value): “We wanted him to drop the bridle and relax the first part. We were hoping to save some ground. We had a horrible post in the 11 hole. He was able to drop in. He was maybe two or three-wide around the first turn. It didn’t turn out as bad as it could have from that post.”

(On last start) “He was rank. He was outside and saw a lot of daylight. He was rank for the first part of the race. If he’s rank and jumps into the bridle early, he just doesn’t finish.”

Jockey Joel Rosario (Long On Value): "I had a good trip. I broke, and Bill [Mott] told me to drop him and take a little bit of time with him and just come for a late run. In the beginning of the race, that's exactly where I was. He made a little move early, but he kind of just pulled and that's what he wanted to do. I just saved him a little more for the finish, and he finished well. He's a nice horse."
