Super Hi-5 Carryover of $5,612 for Friday’s First Race More Than a Party Wins for Fun in Thursday’s Feature

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot will stand at $496,071.59 for Friday’s program at Gulfstream Park.

Multiple tickets were sold with all six winners Thursday, each worth $1,847.44.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 has gone unsolved for 13 consecutive programs since a mandatory payout of a North American record pick 6 pool of $15.285 million yielded multiple winners of $89,456.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 will span races 4-9.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 Carryover of $5,612.59 for Friday’s first race. First race post time is set for 12:55 p.m.

More Than a Party Wins for Fun in Thursday’s Feature

Graded stakes-placed More Than a Party returned to winning form in Thursday’s featured eighth race at Gulfstream, winning for fun by seven lengths in the optional claiming allowance for fillies and mares.

Owned by trainer Eddie Broome and Richard Malouf, the 5-year-old daughter of More Than Ready ran six furlongs in 1:11.12 as the 9-5 second choice under Edgar Prado. More Than a Party stalked the early pacesetters Emerald Citadelle and Fond of Sarah along the backstretch and far turn before sweeping to the lead at the top of the stretch and drawing off to a powerful victory in only her second start since last June.

Curlin’s Princess closed for second, two lengths ahead of Fond of Sarah.

More Than a Party notched her fourth victory in six career starts at Gulfstream, where she finished second in the Hurricane Bertie (G3) last year.
