OffTrackBetting.com - The Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks comes our way this Saturday, April 2 from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Three year old fillies will take to Gulfstream's dirt track and race 1 1/16 miles searching for the winner's share of the $250,000 purse and the 100-40-20-10 points scale toward the Kentucky Oaks in May.
A field of seven have been confirmed for the Gulfstream Park Oaks - race 7 on Gulfstream's blockbuster Saturday card. Post time is 2: 50 PM. Here is a look into the past performances of all seven combatants for this Road to the Kentucky Oaks Grade 2 stakes.
Off the Tracks - Todd Pletcher trained filly has three career starts - three wins. She broke maiden at first asking on this track in June and went on to a terrific win in the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes at Saratoga in July. She returned from a seven month layoff February 21 and posted a good win by 4 1/2 lengths in the minor Margate Handicap on this track February 21. Off the Tracks hasn't been touched so far and hopes to keep the impressive roll going from the outside post 7 Saturday with John Velazquez in the irons.
Gomo - was last seen posting a good win in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes at this distance at Keeneland October 2 for trainer Doug O'Neill after a win, a second and two third place finishes in four previous starts. She broke maiden four starts back by 5 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita June 25 and has also recorded a respectable third in the minor $100,000 Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf September 7 and a good second behind Pretty N Cool in the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes August 12. Paola Queen - has four career starts for trainer Gustavo Delgado with a win, a second and a third place finish. She makes her stakes debut Saturday having finally broken maiden last time out - on this track February 14. Before that was a second, a third and a fifth to start her career. Paola Queen has improved every time out and hopes to maintain that trend from the rail. Javier Castellano has the mount.
Double Entendre - will make just her second career starts for trainer Peter Walder - the first was a good win at Sam Houston February 29. She steps up in competition hoping to make it 2-for-2 from gate 2 with Scott Spieth aboard.
