Las Vegas, NV -- The biggest horse racing card of the season at Prairie Meadows is on Saturday, highlighted by three Grade 3 stakes races. Awesome Gem is
favored in the $300,000 Cornhusker Handicap, Astrology is the horse betting favorite in the $250,000 Iowa Derby and Daisy Devine is the
morning line choice in the $200,000 Iowa Oaks.

The biggest horse racing card of the season at Prairie Meadows is on
Saturday, highlighted by three Grade 3 stakes races.
The Cornhusker Handicap features the 8-year old Awesome Gem who
continues to amaze having won more than $2.5 million dollars in his 43-
race career. He won last time out in the Lone Star Park Handicap so he will
be going for two straight wins but it is worth noting that he has not won two
in a row since 2006. Awesome Gem is the 3-1 favorite in horse betting but
he could be beatable on Saturday night. There are six other horses listed
with odds of 12-1 or less so it could be a wide open race. Headache, who
is trained by Mike Maker, starts on the rail and has odds of 8-1. Also in the
mix should be It Happened Again for trainer Steve Asmussen. He will be
ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith and has morning line odds of 6-1
in off track betting. Dont forget to consider Schramsberg and Red Lead who
are trained by local trainer Chris Hartman.

He is the 9-5 favorite in horse wagering for trainer Steve Asmussen and will
be ridden by Mike Smith. Other contenders include Calebs Posse, who won
the Ohio Derby, and Bob Bafferts Prayer for Relief. The Iowa Oaks looks
to be very competitive in off-track betting with Daisy Devine and Little Miss
Holly the two top choices.
