August 12, 2011 -- New York -- Sagamore Farm's Millionreasonswhy returns to action off her victory in the Grade 2 Matron at Belmont Park, heading a promising field of six 2-year-old fillies Sunday in the 95th running of the Grade 2, $150,000 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
August 9, 2011 -- The best day of horse racing in the state of Illinois is on Saturday at Arlington Park with three Grade 1 stakes races led by the Arlington Million. Ten horses were pre-entered for the race led by Gio Ponti, who could go off as the horse betting favorite. Also on Saturday at Arlington Park it will be the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes and the $400,000 Secretariat Stakes.
August 5, 2011 -- One of the best races this weekend takes place on Saturday afternoon at Saratoga Race Course with the 84th running of the Grade 1, $750,000 Whitney Handicap. The field of 11 is led by Grade I winners Giant Oak, Morning Line, Rail Trip and Tizway. The race is expected to be extremely competitive as seven horses are listed with single-digit horse betting odds.
August 4, 2011 -- Post positions have been drawn for the 42nd running of the Grade 2, $750,000 West Virginia Derby. The 1 1/8-mile race for three-year-olds highlights a nine-race card (comprised entirely of open company stakes) to be run this Saturday, August 6, at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort.

Preakness winner Shackleford takes on Belmont Stakes winner Ruler On Ice. The winner of Sunday's race that can be seen live on ABC gets an automatic spot in November's Breeders' Cup Classic.
