Songbird 6-5 - Jerry Hollendorfer trained undefeated superstar filly and reigning Eclipse Award winner for two year old fillies won all four of her starts in 2015, the last three in G1 events. Her debut was by 6 1/2 lengths in July which was followed by wins by an impressive 5 1/4 lengths in the G1 Del Mar Debutante September 5, the G1 Chandelier Stakes by 4 1/2 lengths at Santa Anita September 26, and the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies by an impressive 5 3/4 lengths. She has seven starts in 2016 and seven more impressive wins - in the G1 Cotillion Stakes last time out at Parx September 24, in the G1 Alabama Stakes at Saratoga August 20, by over five lengths in the G1 Coaching Club American Oaks July 24, by 6 1/2 lengths in the G2 Summertime Oaks June 18, by 3 1/4 lengths in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 9, the G3 Santa Ysabel Stakes by 3 3/4 lengths March 5 and by 6 1/2 lengths in the G2 Las Virgenes Stakes February 6. She hasn't been touched yet - seven gate-to-wire wins in 11 starts - by a combined 50+ lengths - as impressive as any horse in any division. She will look to keep the incredible roll going Friday - from the rail with Mike Smith aboard the obvious favorite.

Stellar Wind 5-2 - John Sadler Eclipse Award winner as 2015 Champion 3 Year Old Filly arrives on a nice two race win streak - both over the terrific Beholder. Last time out was in the G1 Zenyatta Stakes here October 1 and also in the G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar July 30. Before that was a second behind Beholder after a seven month layoff in the G1 Vanity Mile June 4, a good second in the Breeders' Cup Distaff and a tidy two race win streak- the G3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar last August 30 and the G2 Summertime Oaks at Santa Anita June 20, 2015. Other results include a terrific win in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 4 of last year and an upset 2 3/4 length victory in the G3 Santa Ysabel Stakes at 7-1 odds February 28, 2015. She now has seven wins, two seconds and a third place finish in 11 career starts - as competitive as they come when healthy. Victor Espinoza has been tabbed with gaining a third straight G1 win - from post 5.

Beholder 5-2 - superstar three time Eclipse Award winner - 2015 Champion Older Mare, 2013 Champion 3 Year Old Filly and 2012 Champion 2 Year Old Filly - 10 time Grade 1 victor has 25 career starts with an incredible 17 wins and six second place finishes. She enters on the heels of three straight seconds though - behind Stellar Wind in the G1 Zenyatta Stakes last time out here October 1, in the G1 Pacific Classic against the boys including California Chrome and behind Stellar Wind in the G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes here July 30. Before that was a terrific eight race win streak - the G1 Vanity Mile June 4, the G3 Adoration Stakes May 8 after 7 1/2 months away, the G1 Zenyatta Stakes (for the third straight year) September 26, the 2015 G1 Pacific Classic against the boys by 8 1/4 lengths, the 2015 G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes by an incredible seven lengths August 1, the 2015 Adoration Stakes, the minor Santa Lucia Stakes in April and the 2015 Zenyatta Stakes in September. She won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2012 and the Breeders' Cup Distaff in 2013. Beholder is a three-time Eclipse Award winner for a reason - she is mighty impressive and is destined to be in the mix Saturday. Gary Stevens will once as Beholder tries to flip the script on Stellar Wind and snap a three race losing streak.
